Collection: OS Series

This work evolved from injuries sustained after a car accident in 2017. As a result, my condition deteriorated to losing control of fine motor skills and half of the muscle stimulation to my painting arm, as well as severe nerve pain and damage. I was unable to paint, and faced the potential that I may never be able to create my work in the same way again. A severely difficult period in my life, on top of the physical pain the anguish of losing my ability to paint was an anvil on my soul. After multiple surgeries, and continued nerve damage in my arms, my struggle to move forward continues. The creation of these works is my hope and strive for peace and healing, and acceptance and release of all the struggles that brought me here. In respect of this journey, I have continued to work in this vein. My physical experience the last few years and continued ailing, has renewed a deep love, respect, and awe of the human body for me, and I continue to be excited to paint its beauty.
